Am 4.7. demonstrierten etwa 20 AktivistInnen im Terminal 1 des Hamburger Flughafens gegen Transporte sog. Versuchstiere durch AirFrance-KLM. Mitten in der Check-In Halle wurden Transparente ausgebreitet, Flugblätter verteilt und Schilder gehalten. Sichtlich genervt vom Protest versuchte, der örtliche AirFrance verantwortliche, die Proteste möglichst einzudämmen. Die Demo blieb jedoch 3 Stunden vor Ort und informierte die Reisenden über das Geschäft mit dem Tod, in das Air France maßgeblich verstrickt ist. Informationen zur Kampagne gegen AirFrance/KLM finden sich hier. Es bleibt zu hoffen, dass sich die Proteste auch in Deutschland ausbreiten, um den Druck auf AirFrance möglichst zu erhöhen. On 4th July 2011, about 20 activists demonstrated against the transportation of so called „laboratory animals“ by AirFrance KLM at Terminal 1 of Hamburg Airport. Banners were spread in the middle of the check-in hall, leaflets were distributed and signs were held. Apparently annoyed by the protest, a local Air France staff member in charge tried to stem the protests. However, the demonstration took place for three hours and thus informed travellers of the significant involvement of AirFrance KLM in the deadly business. Information regarding the campaign against AirFrance/KLM can be found here. One can only hope that the protests also spread throughout Germany to increase the pressure on AirFrance.
